Hi! We’re the Turners with To Every Tribe. I (Randy) and Jessica spent over a decade at Sojourn Baptist serving in various capacities. Jessica was saved under Pastor Jess’ ministry, I grew leaps and bounds, we met each other there, and even got married right there in the sanctuary.

Through a long series of events involving John Piper, Sermonaudio.com, Papua New Guinea, children, acute asthma, and wedding videography, we were in contact for a number of years with a reformed and baptistic missionary training and sending organization called To Every Tribe, and in 2014, I was offered a home based missionary staff position and asked to raise support and move down to To Every Tribe’s headquarters in Los Fresnos, TX. To Every Tribe exists to extend the worship of Christ among all peoples, by mobilizing the church, training disciplemakers, and sending missionary teams to plant churches among the unreached.

We’ve been down here now since January of 2015, and I serve as the Vice President of Mobilization.

My team and I help the people coming in for missionary training or heading to their long-term fields to raise the support they need for a healthy and sustainable ministry. There is no magic potion, sales tactic, or silver bullet for support raising. As the coach, I help people work through a biblical view of support raising, orient them to all of the exciting financial laws and policies of the Internal Revenue Service, Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability, and To Every Tribe, and help them learn to love and communicate well to their relational network, to cast a vision for pioneer church planting among the unreached and invite gospel partnership. For those coming in for training, I also become the main To Every Tribe contact point from the time they are accepted into the program to the time they move down.

We live right near the campus where all of the Missionary Trainees live, so outside of my specific “Ministry Description,” Jessica and I love having people over and pursuing discipleship with these folks while they are here for these two short years.

It’s a joy to serve an organization we believe in, and to be able to make a direct impact on missionary teams that are going places unreached with the gospel. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your partnership with us in this work.
